WHAT I WORE // DISTRESSED DENIM + LEOPARD BOOTIES

JACKET // TOP // LEGGINGS // BOOTS // SUNNIES // TOTE

First of all… let me just get this out of the way. The cut-out side of these boots IS SLAYING ME. It is so flattering what it does to your ankle and your leg. I’m in love! I’m also utilizing the theory that “leopard is a neutral” here - and in this case, I thought it brought out the warm colors of the shirt perfectly.

I rarely throw a cropped jacket with leggings, but today I’m showing you it’s possible!

ON PRINT MIXING // + why you should try it

COAT // SKIRT // TOP // BOOTS

I finally ordered some items from Blair Eadie’s collaboration with Halogen at Nordstrom and I LOVE the versatility in this collection! I really appreciated that she had the opportunity to add extended sizing to her collection and she said YES. We need more Blair’s in the fashion world!

I love mixing prints and pairing unexpected colors together because it adds interest, and it also elevates your look.

HOW TO SURVIVE THE SUMMER WITHOUT A THIGH GAP (VIDEO)

Ok, ladies. This might be a topic that makes you uncomfortable but I’m here to tell you that it’s a problem WE ALL HAVE. Well, most of us.

It’s Summer. For most of us, it’s hot as balls. Sorry, but, I really can’t think of a better way to explain it. Literally the other day I was standing outside and could feel streams of sweat dripping down the back of my leg. Beautiful.

ST. AUGUSTINE: WHAT WE WORE

Last week, we went on a super fun girls trip to St. Augustine and had a blast! I got so many questions from my insta stories about what swimsuits, sunglasses, outfits, and shoes we were wearing on this trip! I thought it would be good to put it all in one spot for you here!

PLUS SIZE & PREGNANT // A SERIES, first look featuring DRAPER JAMES

Think you have to buy MATERNITY CLOTHES when you’re pregnant?! Think again. I am so excited to share with you guys a new series I'm starting while I'm pregnant. I’m challenging myself to do this with only non-maternity clothes… as long as I can! Dressing for your changing body, no matter WHAT size you are is difficult. I just happen to be plus size, and I want to share this journey with you all.

READY FOR SPRING WITH DRAPER JAMES x ELOQUII

I am so excited to be part of this exciting launch with Draper James and one of my favorite clothing brands, Eloquii. Draper James is Reese Witherspoon's brand, and I remember being a little bummed that they didn't carry my size when I popped in the Atlanta store. But now... that's all changing!

SPRING STAPLES WITH LANE BRYANT: PART TWO

The power of a classic, crisp, white button front shirt is underrated. The thing that has always turned me off about them, however, is that they aren't interesting enough for me. Also, I want something comfortable I can move in. With my shape, I often have to size two sizes up to get something that fits, but then it looks too boxy.

SOCIAL MEDIA: PROCEED WITH CAUTION

Sometimes I feel like this needs to be a disclaimer that pops up every time you open up Facebook or Instagram.

Like... hey, friendly reminder: You're probably not going to scroll your feed and see photos of people's kids screaming with snotty noses or an Instagram photo of your friend and her cellulite.

A SWEATER FOR ALL SEASONS

Let's talk about this cozy sweater I had to have after I saw my friend Callie wearing it. It comes in Spring colors too (Navy and Lavender) and it is SO cozy. I'm wearing an XXL but I could have sized down. BONUS - it's from the Nordstrom Juniors Dept so it makes me feel a little younger, naturally.

STAPLE WARDROBE: LEATHER A-LINE SKIRT

Omg. Am I an outfit repeater now?! I LEGIT have worn this skirt more than 5 times in the last two months which is huge for me. I am in the process of teaching myself the power of a great staple wardrobe, so thanks for coming along with me on this new "journey" of mine...
