Meet the Team
Ashley Dorough | Founder
My name is Ashley Dorough, and I want you to know that your size, weight, and what your body looks like has nothing to do with your worth, beauty, health, or success. At House of Dorough, I share everything from plus size fashion, to motherhood, to real life issues, but also the little things that make my life a little brighter!
Growing up, I didn’t see anyone that looked like me in the media. This had a huge impact on my mental health, body image, and played a large role in my history of disordered eating.
House of Dorough began with the goal of giving women a voice – to feel heard and empowered, to know that waiting to be a certain size before you buy the best jeans of your life is no way to live. House of Dorough is a digital space centered on tearing down the stigma around health and weight, and has a goal of ensuring that our daughters and their daughters are living in a different world; one where all bodies are normalized and celebrated.
Caroline Dawson | Brand Manager
Caroline is our team Brand Manager! She loves to write and is passionate about size inclusive fashion, cracking jokes, and making a Google Document for any occasion. She brings a true balance to the team and we cannot get enough of her energy! Be on the lookout for more try-ons featuring Caroline!
Jess Glover | Account Manager
Jess is Ashley’s in house assistant producer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The other days of the week you can find her working from home, doing bookkeeping and shopping for try-ons! She is on a journey to find her personal style and loves to provide honest reviews as a petite size 18! Her sense of humor and level of comfort on camera is so fun to watch – the audience loves her!
