My Valentine

I remember being a young girl, dreaming about what it would be like to get a Valentine from a boy. Most years, even though I probably seemed okay on the outside, it was really disappointing on the inside to not get anything from a boy. Now that I have two girls of my own, I guess that’s why I struggle with this “holiday” because yes, on one hand it’s fun to celebrate and I’m always down for a party... but on the other hand, I don’t want my kids to grow up thinking their worth will come from another person who thinks they’re pretty or wants to be with them. I want them to know it’s okay to be your own Valentine. 💕

JUNE Q&A // strapless bras, workout wear, intimacy (gasp!) +MORE

I cannot stand when the cup of a strapless bra looks pointy!!! Like, what’s the deal with that anyway? Ha! It comes in a large variety of sizes.

ATHENS, GA // A SIMPLE TRAVEL GUIDE FOR THE 30-SOMETHING

TOP | LEGGINGS | SHOES | SUNNIES | CARDIGAN

Not in college anymore? Yeah, me neither. I can’t believe I’m saying this but, honestly, there’s so much more to Athens, Georgia than football. This little town… it will always hold a special place in my heart. I really kind of found myself here, so to speak. It took me awhile and several colleges, but once I landed in Athens I magically found my people and a college major I was passionate about (film and tv production).

My senior year of college, I met and fell in love with my husband. Needless to say = we LIVED IT UP our last semester. We graduated together which is such a special memory to me as well. But the biggest and best memory of all was our wedding! We got married at the Foundry right in the heart of downtown Athens.

BEFORE WE HAD A BABY

Before we had a baby, we could go on 5 date nights a week. We could laugh as loud as we wanted to at night. We could sleep in on the weekends. We wouldn't worry about how much quality time we were getting with each other. Last week, my college roommate got married in Texas. My husband and I decided a while ago that we would just block this time off and drive, instead of flying. This drive would include a pit stop in New Orleans for a night.
