This grocery haul was all about quick, simple, family friendly and Spooky inspired party food! We had so much fun researching fun spooky themed treats that we couldn’t help but make several different finger foods and treats! First, were the puff pastry wrapped “Mummy” dogs. These are exactly what the title says and so simple even someone who would consider themselves non creative or artistic can look like a pro! All we did here was half the hot dogs long ways so they’d lay better on a tray and then take prepackaged puff pastry sheets and flatten with a roller and cut in 1\2 inch strips long ways and then wrap the dogs to look like mummies! Once that is done we brushed them in a 1 egg and a tablespoon of water wash and let them rest in the fridge for 15 min before baking at 400 for 20 min (thanks Martha Stewart)!

Then, we decided on the skeleton veggie man, our tray was a little small though so he kind of looked like just a regular guy but still cute! The mini spider donuts were literally just chocolate mini donuts, broken in half pretzels for legs and M&Ms for eyes. So cute and a salty\sweet treat too! We decided to throw in a few deviled eggs with spiders resting on top made out of black olives, they turned out SO cute and they were so simple!

To complete the table scape, we added some of our favorite every day Walmart grocery staples for filler like cheese cubes and pepperoni. We also found these absolutely delicious Nerds candy corn! They taste like the Nerds you know and love but they’re chewy kind of like candy corn! We all couldn’t stop eating them as we decorated the table and they are so vibrant and cute too so they were a perfect pop of color on our spooky table!
