Reflecting on 2019

SCARY. That’s what 2019 was for me. I took the fear that’s been bottled up within me for so long, and I embraced it and turned it into something else. I opened my heart up. I took risks. I made so many meaningful connections within this community. I finally looked at my postpartum belly (thanks to @meg.boggs and the #this_is_postpartum movement) and began to heal from the shame I’ve been living with, from the inside out. I’ve spent countless hours reading your messages and sharing your stories which is definitely one of most favorite things about this year. I stopped pretending to be superwoman and finally took care of my mental health (thanks to @katiemcrenshaw and @naomihopkinsphoto for encouraging me to do so). I had dream partnerships this year, and met goals, yada yada yada but that’s honestly not what I’m most proud of.
I’m proud of the community that we’ve built here. I’m proud to say that I’ve helped YOU finally realize that your worth has nothing to do with the size in your jeans. I really can’t ask for more than that at this point.

Oh, and I finally jumped in the pool for the first time since I was 10. That was awesome. 😉❤️ Really really REALLY can’t thank you all enough for the support this year you’ve given myself and my family.

Ps - I picked these photos because they’re my favorite moments, creatively or they had a lot of meaning. ❤️❤️❤️
