5 DAYS OF STYLING SNEAKERS

We all love to be comfortable, and I think for so long our options were limited to a strictly athletic type of style shoe to have that. But these days, there are so many cute, elevated and stylish sneaker options out there! This week I wanted to show you how to wear your sneakers!

For reference, here are my typical sizing details:

Height: 5’8 | Alpha Size: 2X | Numeric Size: 18W/20W | Bra Size: 42DD

DAY 1

sweatshirt (2x) | skirt (2x) | sneakers | bag

WHERE TO WEAR:

I’d wear this to run errands, kid’s birthday parties, even to travel in!

This may be a controversial statement, but I am a big believer in mixing navy and black! My only rule to this is that is has to be enough of a contrast in color for it to work! The blue has to be obviously blue, for example. I love this cute outfit for on the go!

This skirt is kind of a lightweight cotton and it has an elastic waistband. The 2X fit me very true to size so if you’re unsure, it wouldn’t hurt to size up. The sweatshirt also fits true to size, and I’m in the 2X. It is INCREDIBLY soft and comfortable, with a tad bit of stretch which is nice! I love adding these super comfortable platform sneakers to the look, and mixing the sporty vibe with the gold chain crossbody. It gives it very much a street style vibe!

DAY 2

sweater (XXL) | jeans (18) | sneakers | bag

WHERE TO WEAR:

I’d wear this to a casual work environment that allows jeans, to run errands, go shopping with friends, or any casual event like a birthday party or family dinner!

These straight leg jeans scared me, but I was so pleasantly surprised when I put them on! I love the feel of these jeans - they are SUPER comfy! They run true to size and have a good amount of stretch, I am wearing them in the 18W. I prefer to style jeans like this with a flat, especially a sneaker! The break between the shoe and the hem of the pants should be a couple of inches! This sweater is super comfy and the XXL fit me just fine! Leopard is such a classic, trendy print that truly will never go out of style. I couldn’t resist adding the pop of red to this entire look! This bag is a fun way to tie it all together.

DAY 3

sweatshirt (XL) | jeans (18) | sneakers

WHERE TO WEAR:

this FOR SURE is a great road trip outfit, running errands, or comfy weekend fit!

Okay, styling a cozy sweatshirt isn’t always easy - especially if it doesn’t fit you right! This one fits my body the exact way I like them… its a bit oversized and cozy, doesn’t tug and pull at my hips, and sits just over my booty but doesn’t pull at it. I’ve said this a million times but Abercrombie just makes the best dang sweatshirts! Adding a few others I’d try to this post. These carpenter jeans are amazing - I love that they aren’t just any basic pair of jeans… the narrow leg and carpenter pocket details are super cute and different! There is a good amount of stretch in these, and they fit my body perfectly with the way they hug my slimmer thighs but also fit my wider booty! These sneakers are surprisingly comfy and I can’t get over how chic they are!

DAY 4

sweater (SIMILAR) | sweatpants (2x) | sneakers

WHERE TO WEAR:

You could totally wear this to travel in! It is super comfy! Also just for running errands or a comfy weekend fit!

I love mixing different clothing categories! This top is a cozy off the shoulder sweater, actually, and you can wear it in a much more dressed up way! This one is sold out but here’s a similar one! But I thought it would be comfy to throw with my new favorite Amazon sweatpants, and it worked — I felt so cute and pulled together! Super comfy with my platform converse sneakers!

DAY 5

t-shirt (2x) | cardigan (xxl) | jeans (18) | sneakers | bag

WHERE TO WEAR:

this is like an elevated version of tee shirt and jeans - you could wear it in any casual setting really! Including kids birthdays, family dinners, sports games, running errands, etc!

These are probably my favorite straight leg jeans that I’ve found… Madewell really did me right with these!! They fit my hips, thighs, and belly so well that it feels like they were made for me! I have them in my regular size 18, there is a good amount of stretch but also structure. If you’re unsure it doesn’t hurt to size up. This tee runs generous, I could do the 1X. It is super soft and I love the checked print! It’s running low in stock so I linked some similar ones in our LTK post as well! The grey chenille cardigan is the coziest thing ever and I keep grabbing it to wear during this transitional time from summer to fall!
