ONE KIMONO STYLED 4 WAYS

“How do I style a kimono?” - Major question I've been getting out there from a lot of you! Here's the trick….

Actually, there’s really only two guidelines I have when wearing a kimono.

1. Be careful with your “base” layers - they should be simple and mostly solid, since a kimono is usually heavily printed or very colorful.

2. If you're wearing it over a dress, it has to be a slim line - it cannot be super big a-line or it will add bulk and make you look frumpy. Think “long and lean” when choosing what to go underneath.

As far as colors go, you can still be colorful underneath you just need to slightly coordinate it all to make it work.
