DO SOMETHING THAT SCARES YOU

We've all heard the phrase "do one thing that scares you" - which I like to embrace from time to time. But when it comes to clothing, this type of thinking can ring true too. I recently tried to rock a JUMPSUIT that I was SO nervous about wearing. It was completely out of my comfort zone and not something I would ever normally pick out for me.

WHY I BROKE UP WITH THE TANNING BED

Some people like botox, fake nails, lip injections, or blowouts every so often to make them feel good. For me? It's a tan. I'm not sure why but ever since I was in middle school I always wanted to be tan. I'll never forget in 9th grade, when self tanner had just become a "thing"...

MY JOURNEY TO SELF LOVE

Self love. It isn't easy. And it isn't something I realized I had an issue with really, until the last year or so. (IN MY OPINION) WHAT IT MEANS TO BE BODY POSITIVE

So I've been on this journey for awhile. Like, my whole life.

And I've been blogging for a little less than a year, which has allowed me to see all sides of people on the Internet and really think about how I view myself. I've been seeing lots of mixed messages in the media about what it means to love yourself and what is considered "real" and "beautiful."

SPRING STAPLES WITH LANE BRYANT: PART TWO

The power of a classic, crisp, white button front shirt is underrated. The thing that has always turned me off about them, however, is that they aren't interesting enough for me. Also, I want something comfortable I can move in. With my shape, I often have to size two sizes up to get something that fits, but then it looks too boxy.

Weekend VIBES, am I right?! Let me break this down for you. First of all, I am obsessed with this style of jacket for my type of body. If you've been following me for awhile, you may remember this one from last Fall that I love. The length and the weight of this one is perfect as we transition into Spring. Easy to dress up or down as well.
