6 THINGS I'M DOING RIGHT NOW TO BETTER MY LIFE

1. WORKING OUT AT 6:30AM

For a while there, I was sleeping in and going to the gym at 9:30. By doing that, I was missing an opportune time to get things done while Emaline is in school. This would have a domino effect on my day, and probably why I would find myself staying up until 2am working on projects. This also gets my mood and mind right.

2. COOKING

We've stopped eating out, unless its on the weekends for social reasons. Now that I have my daily routine set up, I actually have time to cook and I enjoy it! So far this week we've had tons of healthy meals that were all hubby approved.

3. SERVING OTHERS

I really feel called to do more for others this year. If you know of any organization that needs volunteers, let me know. I have a list of places and resources I am calling to get more info on. I especially feel called to serve mamas, kids, and the elderly.

4. SWITCHING FROM WINE TO KOMBUCHA

At the end of the day, I absolutely love pouring a glass of wine and cooking in the kitchen. It is so relaxing. But too much of that is a bad thing, so I've started replacing my wine with Kombucha. Sounds silly, but I actually put it in a wine glass and everything... it works! I don't crave it. Our favorite type of Kombucha is KEVITA... it is the best!

5. SLEEPING, NOT STRESSING

If I don't get a project done, and it's 8pm, I stop. I can either choose then to go to bed, or to spend an hour or two with my husband. Sleep is so much more important than getting "things" done. I've learned this the hard way.

6. PUTTING DOWN THE CELL PHONE

I've started setting a major boundary with cell phone usage. I literally started feeling like my brain was getting fried, especially in the evenings. Once my husband is home, I put everything away and turn it all off. This is making a big difference in my stress levels, and also our relationship.
