BACK TO SCHOOL // Lunch Box Essentials

Back to school can be super hectic and it’s hard to think of easy things to pack in a lunch!
Here are our go to lunch box essentials:
YUMMY SANDWICH - We have no peanut allergies at our school, so we are able to do a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This is something that I know Emaline will always usually eat and give her energy.
ANNIE’S ORGANIC FRUIT SNACKS - these I try to include sparingly because of the sugar, and I’d rather her have fresh fruit instead but I do sometimes include these.
GOLDFISH - We buy the big mega pack of Goldfish with several flavors. The price is so great and it gives us variety.
GO GO SQUEEZ - These organic applesauce pouches are great and easy and a crowd pleaser. They’re also great if it’s your day to supply snack to the class. We buy the multipacks for a great price.
FRESH FRUIT - For this, I usually do grapes, strawberries, or blueberries. Sometimes cantaloupe or pineapple.
Emaline eats better when things are compartmentalized. When I make her a meal, I set it up as a fun little spread so it’s interesting to her and she tries new things. So for her lunches at school, we like to use Bento style lunch boxes. We got one from Walmart and it’s great!
Another thing I’ve really been loving from Walmart this year is the kids’ shoes. Emmie can only wear close-toed shoes so we have to mindful of that, but also they just get so destroyed on the playground everyday. I love the prices of their sneakers and knowing that it’s okay if they get dirty.
Her outfit is also from Walmart, and I love the little skirt because it has built in shorts underneath. Perfect for school!
The bookbag is big enough to fit her lunch, drink, a change of clothes and whatever they need to send her home with. She was SO excited to have a big sparkly bookbag this year.
