3 Fall Staple Outfits On My 18/20/2X Body!
Creating moments and lasting memories have a whole new meaning this year, and we’ve found a lot of joy in the in-betweens! The long car rides listening to our favorite music, the quiet (and not so quiet 😜) afternoons at home, the endless evenings in the kitchen trying new recipes. You know, the in-betweens — those seemingly simple moments that actually help keep us grounded.
This post was sponsored by Stitch Fix, a brand I truly love. Thank you for supporting House of Dorough.
Back to school shopping… it is honestly one of my most favorite memories. When I heard Stitch Fix was catering to kids now, I honestly had no idea what to expect. But you guys. I have fallen HARD for it. Ever since I saw my Emmie girl lay eyes on her first “fix” … it had to have been one of the cutest things ever. She was SO excited to get a fix just for her, and she loved the personalized note with stickers. She delicately opened each item and gave her review of it. It was so funny. Gah, I love this girl. Watch the video on IGTV here.
Last weekend my family and I took a trip to visit an old friend of mine in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. This trip looked a lot different than the road trips we were taking this time last year, because this year, we are navigating COVID-19. I’m aware this is controversial, but here’s the thing. We have to figure out how to continue to live our lives in a safer way. There are safe ways to continue fun things in life, but no matter what those activities are… they have to be done safely and THERE ARE WAYS to do that.
If you’re new around here, you may not know that Anthropologie extended their sizing to include plus sizes last Spring. I was very impressed with my first fitting room experience (read about that here or watch it here). While I was there trying amazing clothing on that actually fit (tears!!) - one of the corporate team members was there and mentioned that the president of Anthropologie was actually behind APlus 100%.
I almost called this post “from Beads to Babies” - but decided against it, lol.
Really what this post should be called is… FAMILY BEACH TRIP SURVIVAL // The main takeaway: you can’t do it alone and you might hate your life.
Ha! Jk. But really…
