WHAT I WORE // DISTRESSED DENIM + LEOPARD BOOTIES

JACKET // TOP // LEGGINGS // BOOTS // SUNNIES // TOTE

First of all… let me just get this out of the way. The cut-out side of these boots IS SLAYING ME. It is so flattering what it does to your ankle and your leg. I’m in love! I’m also utilizing the theory that “leopard is a neutral” here - and in this case, I thought it brought out the warm colors of the shirt perfectly.

I rarely throw a cropped jacket with leggings, but today I’m showing you it’s possible!

STYLE HAS NO SIZE // DENIM TRENCH + EYELET TOP

Today I’m sharing a look I styled alongside Mireille from City Peach, my fave babe to team up with! This STYLE HAS NO SIZE features one of my favorite wardrobe items: A TRENCH COAT. Not just any trench though… a denim one.

I remember getting my first denim trench coat probably about 6 years ago and there was just something about it I fell in love with. I love the dramatic length that a trench coat brings to a look, first of all. But then denim makes it so different than anything your used to seeing in that style.

ON PRINT MIXING // + why you should try it

COAT // SKIRT // TOP // BOOTS

I finally ordered some items from Blair Eadie’s collaboration with Halogen at Nordstrom and I LOVE the versatility in this collection! I really appreciated that she had the opportunity to add extended sizing to her collection and she said YES. We need more Blair’s in the fashion world!

I love mixing prints and pairing unexpected colors together because it adds interest, and it also elevates your look.

PLUS SIZE & PREGNANT // BUMP FRIENDLY (non-maternity) TOPS

Guess what?! You don’t HAVE TO BUY maternity tops. During this last pregnancy, I tried something new. I ONLY bought a few actual maternity items. You can see the specific list here of what I think is important! For everything else, like tops - all I did was size up! I did this because in theory, I knew I wasn’t going to want anything tight fitting once I was postpartum anyway… so having an oversized sweater to wear that is cute would actually work out perfectly.

WINTER UNIFORM STYLE SESSION

I’ve teamed up with a few other great bloggers today to show you some easy go to winter looks! I started with cozy leggings, spanx leggings and jeans and styled each of those, and added layers. Make sure you tune in to my Instagram stories or highlights to see the full style session! You can find the shopping links to all items below. If something was sold out, I found something similar.

SELF LOVE UPDATE AFTER BABY #2

It’s been 2.5 months since I had Pearl Jo, and I’m finally starting to feel kind of normal. With that also comes the normal anxiety and the self love/body image struggles. To be honest, it really doesn’t have anything to do with having children. I mean… SURE. I’ve gone through the pain and heartache of losing the body that you thought you knew so well to pregnancy and having to adjust not once, but twice to a new and different body.

But these issues have been with me since I was young and long before having children.

BRINGING HOME BABY

Bringing home baby - a phrase I never thought would have as much meaning as it does to me now.

A phrase I didn't realize that some people don't experience.

And a phrase I took for granted.

3 years ago, I went into labor with my first daughter and things went smoothly. We delivered her, but I knew immediately that something wasn't right.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING THE RIGHT CHILDCARE

Whether or not you’re a working parent, if child care is an option you’re exploring it can be seriously overwhelming. It’s also something you can’t take lightly, because after all… this is the place that will be taking care of your child while you aren’t there. This is the place that will be feeding them, teaching them, inspiring them while you can’t be.
