Growing up, founder, Ashley Dorough, didn’t see anyone that looked like her in the media. This had a huge impact on her mental health and body image and played a large role in her history of disordered eating
House of Dorough began with the goal of giving women a voice – to feel heard and empowered, to know that waiting to be a certain size before you buy the best jeans of your life is no way to live. House of Dorough is a digital space centered on tearing down the stigma around health and weight, and has a goal of ensuring that our daughters and their daughters are living in a different world; one where all bodies are normalized and celebrated.
